Job Description

Qualifications/Experience: High School Diploma/GED and passed ParaPro/Para Educator testing(or 60 college credits) required.

A successful background check is required.

Prefer experience working with children.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Needed: Patience, flexibility, love for children, confidentiality, teamwork, self-starter, takes direction easily, excellent communication skills, behavior management skills, assist in the classroom and in special education classroom.

Specific Tasks: Work with students throughout the day assisting with behavior and academics. Refocus the student in the classroom, de-escalate negative behavior, recognize and acknowledge positive behavior, and work cooperatively with the classroom teacher and Special Education staff.
