Cambridge-Isanti High School in Cambridge, Minnesota is seeking a Special Education Instructional Assistant to support students with disabilities in the classroom and Special Education setting. You will assist with behavior management and academics, collaborating with the classroom teacher and Special Education staff to foster student independence.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma/GED and ParaPro testing (or 60 college credits), with a background check.

• Prefer experience working with children.

Responsibilities

• Work with students throughout the day assisting with behavior and academics.
• Refocus the student in the classroom, de-escalate negative behavior, recognize and acknowledge positive behavior, and work cooperatively with the classroom teacher and Special Education staff.
• Work to increase independence in children.

Job Description

Specific Tasks: Work with students throughout the day assisting with behavior and academics.
