Cambridge-Isanti School District 911 Isanti Middle School is seeking a Special Education Instructional Assistant to support students with behavior and academics throughout the day. The role focuses on refocusing students, de-escalation of negative behavior, and promoting positive behaviors in collaboration with classroom teachers and Special Education staff.

Responsabilités

• Work with students throughout the day assisting with behavior and academics.
• Refocus the student in the classroom and de-escalate negative behavior.
• Recognize and acknowledge positive behavior and work with the classroom teacher and Special Education staff.
• Help increase independence in children and support in both general and special education settings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising teacher.

Job Description

Specific Tasks: Work with students throughout the day assisting with behavior and academics. Refocus the student in the classroom, de-escalate negative behavior, recognize and acknowledge positive behavior, and work cooperatively with the classroom teacher and Special Education staff. Hours Per Day: 7hours/day As per contract
