Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, student development or a related field.
• 1 year of experience as an Academic Advisor or related student services area.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Advise continuing and transfer students through individual appointments and group workshops.
• Assist students with goal setting, major exploration, degree options, and educational planning for all TMCC degrees and programs.
• Collaborate with Advising staff and other campus departments to ensure accurate information.
• Answer questions students have through Express Advising and advising email.
• Help students understand placement options for English and Math.
