Job summary

University System of New Hampshire is seeking a Student Advising and Support professional for UNH Manchester. You will engage diverse undergraduates, guiding them through degree requirements and policies with reflective conversations and motivational interviewing.

This role leads Study Away advising in collaboration with UNH Global. You will participate in data-informed practice, outreach, and collaboration with faculty and support services to promote student success, retention, and engagement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, psychology or related field.
• Commitment to student-centered advising approach.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
• Ability to work with diverse student populations and collaborate across campus.

Responsibilities

• Advise a diverse undergraduate student population at UNH Manchester.
• Use reflective conversations to clarify degree requirements and policies.
• Employ motivational interviewing and appreciative advising techniques.
• Lead study away advising for UNH Manchester and coordinate related programming.
