Description

Serves as a senior advisor with advanced expertise. Handlescomplex advising scenarios, contributes to program development, andleads initiatives.

• Provides advanced advising for complex academic plans (doublemajors, transfer credits), as well as students in academic distressor special populations.
• Designs and implements student success programs and retentionstrategies.
• Trains and mentors Academic Advisor 1 & 2 staff.
• Interprets and applies university policies withdiscretion.
• Analyzes advising data and recommends improvements.
• Serves as liaison between academic departments and advisingcenter.
• Performs other job-related duties as required.

Additional Position Information

This position works in the Department of Accountancy & Taxationat the C. T. Bauer College of Business. This position engages withstudents to advise them on academic requirements for degreeprogress, course selection, policies, procedures, and resourcesbased on an assessment of individual student needs.

Successful candidates will have the ability to work independentlyas well as part of a team, work well under pressure, consistentlymeet deadlines, and manage multiple projects while remainingflexible and positive. This will require exceptional organizationalskills and attention to detail.
