Hillsborough Community College is seeking an engaged admissions and student services professional to advise students on applications, registration, course selection, career development, graduation requirements, and transfer processes. The role includes evaluating transcripts, performing degree audits, and guiding students through College policies.

The position requires a Bachelor's Degree with at least two years of related work experience, and a preference for bilingual Spanish and English.

Responsabilidades

  • Assist new students with admission procedures, test requirements and degree options.
  • Advise students on graduation requirements and transfer information.
  • Evaluate transcripts and perform degree and graduation audits; refer students for tutorial assistance as appropriate.
  • Assist students in career exploration and articulation policies.
  • Maintain up-to-date student records and participate in workshops and campus events.

Compensation Range

Compensation Range: $46,560.78 - $72,961.73

Position Summary

Hiring compensation range: $46,560.78 - $51,216.85 depending on qualifications.

Job Summary

Assists and advises students regarding applications, registration, course selection, career development, graduation requirements, and transfer process and evaluations. Evaluates transcripts and performs degree and graduation audits. Advises current and prospective students on degrees offered by the College and provides general information regarding College policies and procedures.

Job Duties
  • Assists new students with admission procedures, test requirements and degree options.
  • Assists current students with graduation requirements and transfer information.
  • Evaluates transcripts and performs degree and graduation audits; refers students for tutorial assistance as appropriate.
  • Assists students in all stages of career exploration.
  • Maintains up to date understanding of articulation policies, procedures and state mandates.
  • Maintains current and organized student records.
  • Attends seminars and workshops.
  • Provides orientation services for new students.
  • Working one on one with the students to provide valuable information about the institution, and helping student solve problems encountered at college.
  • Duties include paperwork (degree audits and final checks, course substitutions, transient forms, test referrals, class enrollment, etc.); attending workshops and meetings to keep up-to-date information and changes needed to perform my other duties; and assisting in campus tours and student meetings.
  • Performs other similar and related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree and at least two years prior-related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred bilingual in Spanish and English (fluently able to converse, read, and write) a plus.
