Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with eight years of experience working with college students or in an academic advising capacity, or Master’s with six years, or Doctoral with four years.
• Required Competencies: Accuracy and Attention to Detail, Decision Making and Critical Thinking, Effective Communications, Initiative, Interpersonal Relationships, Problem Solving, Service Excellence, Teamwork.
• Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise an academic advising team and coordinate services for undergraduates.
• Serve as liaison between Student Affairs and academic departments, including Government.
• Develop college-wide advising policies and procedures with COLA leadership to improve advising quality.
• Participate in orientation activities and support registration/advising for new students.
• Support professional development and ongoing training for advising staff.
