Responsibilities include advising on degree requirements, maintaining records in Toolkit, processing petitions, and leading student outreach events. A strong background in higher education advising and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and six years of experience working with college students in an academic advising capacity or master's degree in a related field and four years of experience in advising, group work, assessment and administration of college students' academic programs.
• Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and advice to students regarding degree requirements, major exploration, and campus resources; advise on course selection and petitions.
• Maintain accuracy of student records by updating majors/minors and advising notes in Toolkit; review petitions and graduation processing.
• Plan and participate in workshops and outreach; lead First-Year Interest Groups and Transfer-Interest Groups with student mentors.
• Attend meetings and prepare reports; collaborate with colleagues and supervisor(s) to support student success.
