Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; four-year college/university in behavioral sciences, public/business admin, or related field.
• Driver License valid and in state.
• At least two years of progressively responsible work experience in academic advising, teaching, or student services.
• Master's degree may substitute for one year of professional work experience.
• Knowledge of higher education issues, commitment to equity and student success, and ability to work with diverse constituencies; strong communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills; Windows and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, focused advising to students to ensure progress toward graduation and understanding of policies.
• Offer academic coaching and support to undergraduate students, helping them develop success plans.
• Represent the department at university events and workshops; develop outreach to students needing interventions.
