Job summary

Danfoss Drives is seeking a technically skilled engineer in Houston to lead start-up, commissioning, and optimization of AC drives across customer sites. You will diagnose issues, perform hands-on testing, and ensure systems operate at peak efficiency.

Remote support and on-site service will be part of your role. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, advise customers on application opportunities, and contribute to continuous improvement while traveling up to 75% for international

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in electrical/electronic engineering, automation, or physics.
Experience with variable frequency drives, commissioning, or industrial automation is required.
Knowledge of PLCs and industrial communication protocols is essential.

Responsibilities

Lead start-up, commissioning, and optimization of AC drives and drive systems at customer sites.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues with hands-on troubleshooting and testing.
Provide application expertise to ensure systems run at peak efficiency.
Manage on-site service delivery, documentation, reporting, and installation coordination.
Collaborate with sales, training, and continuous improvement teams using field insights.
