Job summary

Danfoss Drives is seeking an engineer to support NAM region customers with hands-on startup, commissioning, and optimization of AC drive systems. You will diagnose technical issues, provide application expertise, and manage on-site service delivery while collaborating with sales and training teams to drive continuous improvement.

Travel up to 75% including international assignments, with a base salary range of $65,000–$100,000 plus bonus and benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical / electronic engineering technology, electrical engineering, automation or physics, or relevant industry experience.
Experience with variable frequency drives, commissioning, or industrial automation projects.
Background in HVAC, energy, oil & gas, metals, or power conversion with strong technical understanding.
Knowledge of electrical systems, drive controls, and system integration; able to troubleshoot complex applications.

Responsibilities

Start-up, commissioning, and optimization of AC drives and drive systems across customer sites.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues with hands-on troubleshooting, repair, and performance testing.
Support customers with application expertise to ensure systems run at peak efficiency.
Manage on-site service delivery, including documentation, reporting, and coordination of installation and commissioning activities.
Collaborate with internal teams to support sales, training, and continuous improvement.
