ABL Portfolio Manager — Credit & Client Relationships

Job summary

Texas Capital is seeking an Asset Based Lending Portfolio Manager to own the relationship and approval process for credit requests from existing ABL clients. You will work closely with Analysts, Associates, and Relationship Managers to maximize portfolio performance and lead deals with minimal oversight.

You will monitor portfolio quality, collaborate on risk assessments, and ensure best-in-class service while serving as an internal consultant between Credit and the Line of Business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commercial Banking, or equivalent/relevant program.
• 3+ years’ experience in ABL Portfolio Management with formal Credit training.
• Exceptional writing, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Motivation and initiative; capable of fast-paced, collaborative work.
• Strong MS Office skills (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) for reports and memos.

Responsibilities

• Oversee credit responsibilities for Analysts/Associates; validate underwriting models.
• Assess risk ratings and conduct periodic relationship reviews.
• Partner with Relationship Manager in credit agreement review/negotiation.
• Own all credit approvals (new facilities, modifications, renewals, increases).
• Identify risks and mitigants; manage covenant compliance and reporting.
