Job summary

JCW Group is seeking a Portfolio Manager to oversee a generalist ABL portfolio in a fast-growing segment. The role works directly with borrowers and collaborates with business development, underwriting and senior credit leadership to maintain credit discipline and growth.

You will manage mid-market assets up to $50MM across diverse industries, serving as the primary contact for borrowers and leading annual reviews, modifications and renewals while monitoring covenants and financial reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in ABL portfolio management, account management or underwriting.
• Strong client-facing skills and confidence pushing back on borrowers.
• Strong financial statement, cash flow and collateral analysis skills.
• Experience with ABL modifications, renewals and revolving credit facilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of asset-based lending relationships, generally up to $50MM, across industries such as consumer products, light manufacturing, and distribution.
• Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for borrowers, including handling difficult conversations and declining requests when needed.
• Underwrite modifications, amendments, increases, renewals and annual reviews for existing facilities.
• Monitor borrowing bases, covenant compliance, financial reporting, field exams and appraisals.
• Identify early warning signs and work proactively with borrowers on underperforming credits.
• Prepare portfolio reviews and credit packages for senior credit leadership and credit committee review.
