Job summary

The Arc of Bristol County in Westport, MA is seeking a House Manager (ABI) to lead residential staff and coordinate services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role requires supervision experience and a valid driver’s license, with background checks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years related experience with individuals who have development/intellectual disabilities and/or ABI and their families.
• Experience in supervision preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record; able to pass extensive background checks.
• Experience using HCSIS preferred.
• Experience in TA process preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage team performance; develop and implement daily activities; facilitate communication among staff, individuals supported and their families/guardians; ensure participation in activities of their choice.
• Supervise a team of direct support staff including training, scheduling, discipline as needed and performance reviews.
• Ensure documentation and forms are complete, accurate and timely.
• Participate in ISP meetings, team meetings and review team performance.
• Attend meetings with supervisor or as directed by supervisor.
• Serve in rotating on-call system within the agency.
• Provide back-up support when staff cannot work scheduled shifts or shifts are unfilled.
• Represent the agency’s mission and values positively within the community and with individuals/families supported.
• Attend appropriate workshops, seminars and training.
• Maintain positive relationships with individuals, families/guardians, other businesses and social service agencies.
