Job summary
Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, seeks a board-certified/board-eligible General Surgeon with fellowship training in Abdominal Wall Reconstruction and Minimally Invasive Bariatric Surgery to join the Department of Surgery. You will work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team to grow our hernia and bariatric programs using open, laparoscopic, and robotic techniques.
The role includes opportunities for surgical education within the Advanced GI and Hernia & Abdominal Wall Surgery Fellowship
Qualifications
- Board-certified or board-eligible in General Surgery.
- Fellowship training in Abdominal Wall Reconstruction and Minimally Invasive Bariatric Surgery.
- Credentialed in robotic surgery and eligible for Minnesota medical licensure.
Responsibilities
- Grow and advance an established practice in complex abdominal wall hernias using open, laparoscopic, and robotic approaches.
- Provide bariatric surgery as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Engage in surgical education within fellowships and residency programs.
- Contribute to research, quality improvement, and simulation initiatives.
