Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, is conducting a search for a full-time Abdominal Core Health & Metabolic Surgeonto join the Department of Surgery.
We are seeking a board-certified/board-eligible general surgeonwho has completed fellowship training in Abdominal Wall Reconstruction and Minimally Invasive Bariatric Surgery. Working within a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary team of physicians and allied health professionals, the successful candidate will help grow and advance our established practice in the management of complex abdominal wall hernias using open, laparoscopic, and robotic approaches. The surgeon’s clinical practice will also include bariatric surgery. Prior experience in these areas is preferred.
The position offers significant opportunities for involvement in surgical education, including teaching within the Advanced GI and Hernia & Abdominal Wall Surgery Fellowshipand the ACGME-accredited General Surgery Residency Program.

Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in General Surgery and have completed fellowship training in Abdominal Wall Reconstruction and Minimally Invasive Bariatric Surgery. Candidates must also be credentialed in robotic surgery and eligible for medical licensure in the State of Minnesota.

The minimum starting salary for surgical specialties may range from $307,250 to $843,000. This range reflects full-time total base compensation prior to consideration of additional experience or duties. Pay for the selected candidate will vary based on specialty, experience, FTE, internal equity, or external market data.
