Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible General Surgeon with fellowship training in Abdominal Wall Reconstruction and Minimally Invasive Bariatric Surgery to join the Department of Surgery. The candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team on complex abdominal wall hernias and bariatric procedures using open, laparoscopic, and robotic methods.

Qualifications

• Board-certified/board-eligible in General Surgery with fellowships in abdominal wall reconstruction and minimally invasive bariatric surgery.
• Experience with open, laparoscopic and robotic approaches.
• Credentialing in robotic surgery and Minnesota medical licensure eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Grow and advance an established practice for complex abdominal wall hernias using open, laparoscopic, and robotic techniques.
• Include bariatric surgery in the clinical practice and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Engage in surgical education within the fellowship and residency programs and participate in quality-improvement activities.
• Handle surgical call responsibilities and contribute to research and administration as appropriate.
