Job summary

AKABA is seeking an ABA Therapist / Behavior Technician to provide 1-to-1 Applied Behavioral Analysis services to children diagnosed with ASD. Sessions usually run 3-4 hours after school at the client home, community, or our center, with locally assigned cases to minimize travel.

Under supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, you will implement behavior support plans, collect data, and collaborate with families to enhance communication and self-regulation skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Friendly, energetic, and enjoys working with individuals with special needs.
• Ability to attend an initial orientation and work independently.

About the ABA / BT Position:

Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, the Behavior Technician or ABA Therapist role provides 1-to-1 Applied Behavioral Analysis services to children diagnosed with Autism (ASD). Therapy sessions usually run 3-4 hours and primarily take place during after school hours in the client's home, Community, and/or at our Center. Our team focuses on assigning cases as locally as possible (usually within 30 minutes) to your home address or regular school/other work location

Travel time pay and mileage reimbursements are available (when applicable).

Qualifications of an ABA Therapist / Behavior Technician

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
• Valid Driver's License (Required)
• Friendly, energetic, and enjoys working with individuals with special needs
• Experience working with children
• Ability to attend an initial orientation
• Timely and organized
• Ability to work independently
• Proven ability to communicate effectively within a variety of situations
