Job summary

West Boylston Public Schools' Major Edwards Elementary in West Boylston, MA, is seeking a Paraprofessional (ABA Technician) to support students with significant academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs. This role focuses on ABA-based interventions under a licensed special education teacher and the district BCBA.

The successful candidate will work with students who may exhibit challenging behaviors, provide individualized support, assist with personal care, and help with routines,

Qualifications

• Experience working with students with disabilities and behavioral needs.
• ABA knowledge preferred.
• CPI training required and provided by the district.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and personal care support.
• Implement interventions under the direction of the special education teacher and BCBA.
• Utilize ABA principles to support student learning, independence, communication, and behavior.
• Support students individually and in small groups.
• Assist with classroom routines, transitions, and behavior management.
• Collect academic and behavioral data as directed.
• Follow IEPs and behavior support plans.
• Assist with personal care needs.
• Collaborate with special education teachers, BCBA, related service providers, and other members of the educational team.
• Participate in required training and ongoing professional development.
