Job summary

Epic Minds Therapy seeks a dedicated Behavior Technician/Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to work in person with children and individuals with developmental disabilities. You will implement ABA-based interventions, collect data, and support progress toward goals under BCBA supervision.

The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, HIPAA-compliant documentation, and collaboration with families and educators.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is preferred.
• Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, particularly Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
• Familiarity with medical terminology, documentation, and records management.
• Strong understanding of patient care principles and practices.
• Ability to conduct diagnostic evaluations and assessments effectively.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and team members.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA standards.
• A background in special education or related fields is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
• Provide direct support to children and individuals with developmental disabilities in various settings.
• Collect and record data on client behaviors and progress towards goals.
• Assist in patient assessments and intake processes to gather relevant information.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.
• Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in behavioral health and special education.
• Support clients in developing social skills, communication, and daily living skills.
