Job summary

The Wachusett Regional School District is seeking an ABA Program Assistant for the Early Childhood Center in Holden, MA. The role supports students with special needs under the supervision of the BCBA and participates in implementing ABA-based instruction.

This Full-Year position requires a high school diploma, experience with special needs students, and preferred Registered Behavior Technician certification. Strong communication and collaboration with staff are essential.

Qualifications

  • The ABA Program Assistant must have a high school diploma or equivalent and experience with students with special needs.
  • Registered Behavior Technician certificate is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills are required.
  • This is a Full Year position working 239 days annually.

Responsibilities

  • Uses ABA teaching, communication, and reinforcement techniques consistently.
  • Maintains and completes documentation and data collection daily.
  • Supports BCBA by maintaining student files and classroom materials.
  • Works with individuals and groups to reinforce learning per IEP/behavior plans.
  • Confers with staff and administrators regarding student needs.
  • Supervises students in classroom, arrivals, dismissal, lunch, and activities.
  • Maintains confidentiality of student information and ethical standards.
