Job summary

West Boylston Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional (ABA Technician) to support students with significant academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs in Major Edwards Elementary School.

Under the supervision of a licensed special education teacher and the district BCBA, you will implement ABA-based interventions, assist with IEP goals, and help students with independence, communication, and behavior, including personal care as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with students with disabilities and behavioral needs.
• Experience with autism and trauma history preferred.
• Ability to assist with toileting and feeding.
• CPI training provided or required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and personal care support.
• Implement academic and behavioral interventions under the direction of the special education teacher and BCBA.
• Utilize ABA principles to support student learning, independence, communication, and behavior.
• Support students individually and in small groups.
• Assist with classroom routines, transitions, and behavior management.
• Collect academic and behavioral data as directed.
• Follow IEPs, behavior support plans, and safety/crisis plans.
• Collaborate with the educational team and participate in training.
