Job summary

Wachusett Regional School District is seeking an ABA Program Assistant for Houghton Elementary School in Sterling, MA. The role supports students with ABA interventions, collaborating with BCBA and teaching staff.

The position runs 37.5 hours weekly across 239 days per year. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, experience with special needs students, and strong communication skills; an RBT certificate is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with students with special needs preferred.
• Registered Behavior Technician certificate from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board is preferred.
• Strong communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Apply behavior analytic teaching, communication, and reinforcement strategies.
• Maintain daily data collection and documentation of student progress.
• Assist in data entry and filing to support the BCBA.
• Support students individually and in groups according to IEP/behavior plans.
• Collaborate with teachers, speech pathologists, and occupational therapists.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in CPI training.
• Assist with transportation as needed and provide inclusion support.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct at all times.
