Job summary

Barnstable Public Schools seeks an Instructional Assistant for the NECC Program at Barnstable Elementary in Massachusetts. The role supports intensive ABA-based learning, maintains student materials, and collaborates with the Partner Classroom Teacher to implement curriculum and collect progress data.

This full-time hourly position follows the PARAPROFESSIONAL contract, with hours per the school calendar. Bachelor's degree is preferred, and experience in special education is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Experience in special education preferred.
• Physical condition capable of managing behaviorally/physically challenging students.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of all students.
• Provide 30 hours of direct educational services per week.
• Maintain student notebooks and materials.
• Communicate with parents via the log when directed.
• Assist with curriculum implementation as directed by the Partner Classroom Teacher.
