Job summary

Capitol Region Education Council (CREC) in Windsor, Connecticut, is seeking an ABA Instructor to support one-to-one classroom instruction and behavioral/academic interventions using Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) methods. The role involves working under a classroom teacher, collecting data, and maintaining program materials.

The position requires strong collaboration with staff, commitment to student safety, and ongoing competency-based training in learning principles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of related experience with students with disabilities preferred.
• Ability to work under supervision and support students with diverse needs.

Responsibilities

• Support daily school functions (arrival, dismissal, lunch, recess) and cover classrooms as needed.
• Provide 1:1 and/or small group instruction under the direction of the classroom teacher.
• Collect, track, and enter student data in real-time and into district databases.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement instructional plans.
• Maintain safety procedures and confidentiality; participate in ongoing training in Safety Care.
• Mentor new paraeducators during onboarding and assist with materials preparation.
