Job summary

The Franklin Public Schools is seeking a skilled Educational Support Professional to work in the STRIVE Program at Washington Elementary Complex in Franklin, MA. The role supports students with intellectual and developmental disabilities under ABA-informed instruction.

Qualifications include an Associate degree or ParaPro, knowledge of ABA, and ability to work independently. The position offers town benefits, including health insurance, and reports to building principal(s).

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher or ParaPro Certification.
• Knowledge and training in ABA.
• Experience working with students with developmental disabilities.
• Able to take initiative and work independently.
• Must successfully pass CORI background check and CHRI fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive behavior supports and academic interventions for students
• Ensure safety of students during in and out of the classroom
• Work with lead teacher to provide academic, social, and emotional support and intervention
• Work collaboratively with the team of special education teachers and therapists to carry over skills
• Provide support with Activities of Daily Living, i.e. toileting, standing, self-care, etc
• Collect data
