Job summary

Herzing University is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to assist in designing a Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis and to guide ABAI accreditation efforts. The SME will review curriculum, map it to ABAI standards, and support program communication strategies and stakeholder coordination.

The role is a temporary, part-time contract with compensation of $100 per hour and a 40-hour maximum. Responsibilities include accreditation timelines, crosswalks to standards, licensure

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in behavior analysis or ABA.
• Current BCBA with BCBA-D designation in good standing.
• Experience teaching, designing, and launching an accredited online ABA program.
• Experience with the ABAI accreditation process as a program director, faculty member, or reviewer.
• Demonstrated skills in curriculum and course sequencing; assessment and accreditation; and certification and licensure alignment.
• Experience designing or overseeing supervised fieldwork or practicum experiences.

Responsibilities

• Accreditation timeline: Propose milestones, dependencies, and hiring needs (including program director and faculty qualifications).
• Standards crosswalk: Map curriculum to ABAI standards with a gap analysis and revisions.
• Certification and licensure alignment: Align curriculum and fieldwork with BACB requirements and state licensure.
• Program communication: Draft internal communications and review external materials.
• Meetings: Attend project meetings with AVP of Curriculum and Assessment and Department Chair-Behavioral Health.
• Deliverables: Submit on schedule per SME contract and program structure requirements.
• Confidentiality and AI use: Protect confidential University information and follow AI governance policy.
• Contract: Adhere to SME contract; additional duties may be assigned.
