Job summary

Herzing University seeks a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to guide the design of a new MS in Applied Behavior Analysis and coordinate ABAI accreditation planning. The SME will shape the accreditation timeline, identify milestones, and advise on faculty qualifications.

The role covers mapping the proposed curriculum to ABAI standards, aligning with BACB requirements and licensure in applicable states, and assisting in program communications and deliverables under the SME contract.

Qualifications

• Hold a doctoral degree in behavior analysis or applied behavior analysis.
• Hold current BCBA certification with BCBA-D designation, in good standing.
• Experience teaching, designing, and launching an accredited online ABA program.
• Experience with the ABAI accreditation process as a program director, faculty member, or reviewer.
• Demonstrated skills in curriculum sequencing, assessment and accreditation, and licensure alignment.
• Experience designing or overseeing supervised fieldwork or practicum experiences.

Responsibilities

• Accreditation timeline. Propose an accreditation timeline with milestones, dependencies, and required hiring needs.
• Standards crosswalk. Review curriculum and map to ABAI standards with a gap analysis and revisions.
• Certification and licensure alignment. Document alignment to BACB requirements and state licensure.
• Program communication. Draft internal materials and review external materials.
• Meetings. Attend scheduled project meetings with the AVP of Curriculum and Assessment and the Department Chair-Behavioral Health.
• Deliverables. Submit deliverables on the SME contract schedule and program structure.
• Confidentiality and AI use. Protect confidential information and follow AI governance policy.
• Contract. Adhere to the SME contract and perform additional duties as assigned.
