Job summary

Herzing University seeks a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a part‑time contract to support development of a MS in Applied Behavior Analysis and ABAI accreditation readiness. The SME guides accreditation timelines and curriculum alignment with ABAI standards, and ensures proper certification/licensure mapping while coordinating program communications.

Compensation is paid upon deliverables; the role is limited to 40 hours and pays $100 per hour.

Qualifications

• Hold a doctoral degree in behavior analysis or applied behavior analysis.
• Hold current BCBA certification with the BCBA-D designation, in good standing.
• Experience teaching, designing, and launching an accredited online ABA program.
• Experience with the ABAI accreditation process as a program director, faculty member, or reviewer.
• Demonstrated skills and experience in curriculum and course sequencing; assessment and accreditation; and certification and licensure alignment.
• Experience designing or overseeing supervised fieldwork or practicum experiences.

Responsibilities

• Accreditation timeline. Propose an accreditation timeline with milestones, dependencies, and required hiring needs (including program director and faculty qualifications).
• Standards crosswalk. Review the proposed curriculum and map it to the current ABAI Accreditation Board standards.
• Certification and licensure alignment. Document how the curriculum, supervised fieldwork plan, and program outcomes align to BACB requirements and licensure in applicable states.
• Program communication. Draft internal program communication materials and review external materials.
• Meetings. Attend scheduled project meetings with the AVP of Curriculum and Assessment and the Department Chair-Behavioral Health.
• Deliverables. Submit deliverables on the contract schedule and per program structure requirements.
• Confidentiality and AI use. Protect University information and follow AI governance policy.
• Contract. Adhere to SME contract and duties; additional tasks as assigned.
