Job summary

Herzing University is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to help design an MS in Applied Behavior Analysis and support ABAI accreditation planning. The SME will guide accreditation timelines, standards mapping, and licensure alignment, while coordinating program communications and deliverables with university leadership.

The role is a temporary, part-time contract. Compensation is $100 per hour, and time in role will not exceed 40 hours. Remote or on-site work details follow university policy.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in behavior analysis or ABA required.
• Current BCBA with BCBA-D designation in good standing.
• Experience teaching, designing, and launching an accredited online ABA program.
• Experience with ABAI accreditation process as program director, faculty member, or reviewer.
• Curriculum sequencing, assessment and accreditation, and licensure alignment experience.
• Experience designing or overseeing supervised fieldwork or practicum.

Responsibilities

• Accreditation timeline: propose milestones, dependencies and hiring needs including program director and faculty qualifications.
• Standards crosswalk: map curriculum to ABAI standards with gap analysis and revisions.
• Certification/licensure alignment: align curriculum, supervised fieldwork, and outcomes to BACB requirements and state licensure.
• Program communication: draft internal materials and review external materials.
• Meetings: attend scheduled project meetings with AVP of Curriculum and Assessment and Department Chair-Behavioral Health.
• Deliverables: submit on contract schedule and program structure requirements.
• Confidentiality and AI use: protect university information and follow AI governance policy.
• Contract: adhere to SME contract; additional duties may be assigned.

Education

Doctoral degree in behavior analysis or applied behavior analysis

BCBA certification with BCBA-D designation
