Job summary

Herzing University seeks a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a temporary, part-time contract to support the design of an MS in Applied Behavior Analysis. The SME guides accreditation timelines, reviews curriculum for ABAI standards, and helps develop communications.

The role pays $100 per hour with a cap of 40 hours in role, and requires doctoral level expertise, BCBA with BCBA-D, and extensive ABA program development and accreditation experience.

Qualifications

• Hold a doctoral degree in behavior analysis or applied behavior analysis.
• Hold current BCBA certification with BCBA-D designation, in good standing.
• Experience teaching, designing, and launching an accredited online ABA program.
• Experience with the ABAI accreditation process as a program director, faculty member, or reviewer.
• Demonstrated skills in curriculum sequencing, assessment and accreditation, and licensure alignment.
• Experience designing or overseeing supervised fieldwork or practicum experiences.

Responsibilities

• Propose an accreditation timeline with milestones, dependencies, and hiring needs, addressing ABAI eligibility and requirements.
• Review curriculum and map to ABAI standards; provide gap analysis and revisions.
• Document alignment to BACB requirements and state licensure requirements.
• Draft internal program communications and review external materials.
• Attend scheduled project meetings with AVP of Curriculum and Assessment and Department Chair-Behavioral Health.
• Submit deliverables on the SME contract schedule.
• Protect confidentiality and use AI tools per policy.
• Adhere to SME contract and note that additional duties may be assigned.
