Apploi is seeking an ABA Billing & Credentialing Specialist to support our billing and revenue cycle operations in Rolling Meadows, IL. This in-office, part-time role focuses on verification of benefits, authorizations, and provider credentialing with commercial plans and Medicaid.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in healthcare billing, strong organizational skills, and experience with ABA insurance processes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in healthcare billing, verification, or credentialing roles.
• Experience with ABA, VOB, authorizations, or insurance processes preferred.
• Familiarity with CAQH, NPI, payer portals, Medicaid enrollment systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Verify client insurance eligibility and benefits for ABA services, including coverage limits and authorizations.
• Obtain, submit, and track ABA prior authorizations and reauthorizations with commercial plans and Medicaid.
• Monitor authorization periods, units, service codes, and expiration dates; renewals to prevent gaps.
• Maintain Verification of Benefits documentation and communicate coverage requirements to internal teams.
• Manage ABA provider credentialing and recredentialing with commercial payers and Medicaid.
• Maintain credentialing docs: licenses, certifications, NPI, CAQH records, and other documents.
• Research payer-specific credentialing, enrollment, and authorization requirements; ensure applications are complete and accurate.
• Follow up with insurance companies and Medicaid plans regarding pending authorizations and credentialing.
• Maintain accurate payer, provider, client, and authorization records in internal systems.
• Collaborate with clinical, intake, scheduling, and billing teams to resolve issues.
• Handle confidential client/provider information per HIPAA and policies.
