Job summary

BALP is seeking an ABA Billing & Credentialing Specialist to support our billing and revenue cycle operations from an in-office Queens location. The role focuses on verification of benefits, ABA authorizations, and provider credentialing with commercial plans and Medicaid.

The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and experienced in health insurance workflows. We offer a part-time schedule (25 hours/week) with compensation in the $23–$33 per hour range, and a strong emphasis on accuracy

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare billing and payer processes.
• Familiarity with verification of benefits and authorizations.
• Credentialing and provider enrollment with commercial plans and Medicaid.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines with accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Verify client insurance eligibility and benefits for ABA services.
• Obtain and track prior authorizations and reauthorizations.
• Monitor authorization periods and renewals to prevent gaps in service.
• Maintain accurate VERIFICATION of benefits documentation and communicate requirements.
• Manage ABA provider credentialing and recredentialing with payers including Medicaid.
• Maintain licenses, NPI, CAQH records, and credentialing docs.
• Communicate with payers and internal teams to resolve coverage issues.
• Follow up on authorization and credentialing statuses and missing documents.
