Job summary

Achievement Behavior Services in New Jersey is seeking a part-time Behavior Technician to work one-on-one with children in their home environment, under the supervision of a BCBA. You will help students develop communication, focus, and adaptive behaviors using ABA strategies such as DTT, prompting, modeling, and positive reinforcement.

The role emphasizes flexible after-school hours, potential weekend shifts, and collaboration with our ABA Professionals Network.

Qualifications

• ABA, psychology, special education background preferred.
• Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certificate preferred.
• Strong stakeholder communication skills required.
• Experience with preschool and elementary children.
• Document progress notes and data points aligned with treatment goals.

Responsibilities

• Engage in rapport-building to help a student communicate needs.
• Measure and document skill acquisition on the BIP.
• Provide 1:1 in-home ABA sessions using DTT, prompting, modeling, redirection, and rewards.
• Maintain thorough session documentation, data analysis, and billing.
• Receive guidance from BCBA supervisors and apply feedback.
• Communicate effectively with clients, caregivers, supervisors, and coworkers.
