Job summary

Ability-Builders-Consulting-Co. seeks Behaviour Technicians to implement skill-acquisition and behaviour-reduction plans under BCBA supervision in family homes or occasional schools. You will collect data, run programs, and maintain detailed records under guidance from BCBA supervisors.

Requirements include 18+ years, high school diploma or GED, experience with children with special needs, and optional psychology or education degrees. RBT training/completion and BACB status are also required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age with high school diploma or GED.
• Experience in a paid position working with children/adolescents with special needs.
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field preferred.
• State certification as a special or regular education teacher is helpful.
• Must have completed 40 hours of RBT training.
• Must have passed the RBT exam and maintain BACB RBT status at onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct behavioural services to clients in individual sessions.
• Run skill acquisition programs under ABA and VB approaches.
• Complete weekly program recording and maintain client’s program book.
• Complete daily paperwork with accurate times and signatures.
• Work with BCBA/BCBA to implement individualized treatment plans.
• Collect data as instructed by the BCBA.
• Maintain client confidentiality and well-being during sessions.
• Arrive on time and follow scheduled hours.
