Life Skills Autism Academy in Katy, TX is hiring a Behavior Technician to deliver ABA therapy 1:1 and in small groups under BCBA supervision. Candidates must hold or be willing to complete the 40-hour RBT training and pass the competency exam within 45 days of employment.

Responsibilities include implementing skill acquisition and reduction protocols, collecting data, training caregivers, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Willing to participate in background check.
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification along with a TB test.
• Must be physically able to perform the job (lift up to 50 lbs).
• Reliable, professional, and punctual.
• able to maintain emotional control and patience with children.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Good written and verbal communication; comfortable with technology to record data.
• Cultural competency and flexibility in a diverse environment.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings using teaching and natural environment training.
• Follow prescribed behavioral protocols for skill acquisition and behavior reduction.
• Collect, record, and summarize data on client behavior.
• Assist with parent and caregiver training.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation.
• Communicate progress to parents/caregivers as directed by BCBA/BC.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Assist BCBA/BC in preparing materials and assessments.
