Job summary

SpringHealth Behavioral Health and Integrated Care, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, seeks an ABA Authorization Specialist for a hybrid or remote role. The role supports access to services by handling authorizations, coordination with insurers, and maintaining strict confidentiality.

Ideal candidates have ABA exposure, experience in billing/authorization, and strong organizational and communication skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Familiar with ABA service delivery and insurance authorizations.
• Experience with referrals, intake coordination or related admin functions.
• Be highly organized, detail-oriented and able to multi-task.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with remote and clinic teams.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and provide excellent customer service to staff and insurers.
• Run and utilize reports regularly to track authorizations.
• Protect patient confidentiality and safeguard information.
• Provide updates to management on authorization status for treated patients.
• Ensure pre-authorization is obtained and tracked for applicable patients.
• Document authorization requests clearly and accurately.
• Participate in orientation and education of Authorization department staff.
• Notify supervisor of problems promptly and assist in solutions.
• Complete ongoing education and maintain competency; perform additional duties as assigned.
