Job summary

AllStar Medical Equipment in Jefferson, LA seeks an AAC Consultant (Speech Language Pathologist) to drive sales and placements of Speech Generating Devices. You will market, train, demonstrate, and evaluate with SLPs and other health care professionals, patients, and families while complying with company policies and HIPAA rules.

The role reports to the Director of Marketing & Business Development, requires a strong clinical background with sales aptitude, and involves heavy travel (up to 75%).

Qualifications

• MS, CCC-SLP (Master of Speech, CCC-SLP) strongly preferred; SLP-A considered.
• AAC devices and software experience is needed.
• Self-starter with strong work ethic and sales drive.
• Clinical experience combined with sales aptitude required.
• Ability to travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Manage territory to reach revenue and service goals.
• Maintain rapport with referral sources, speech clinics and DME partners.
• Schedule and arrange delivery of devices in a timely manner.
• Assist with training DME partners on equipment use and delivery.
• Follow up with patients to ensure proper use and obtain references.
• Promote products to referral sources and maintain ongoing contact.
• Report on designated spreadsheets weekly using Brightree/Sharepoint.
• Support training of new AAC Consultants as the company grows.
