Job summary

AAA Mountain West Group in Campbell, CA seeks Roadside Tow Operators to join a team that helps members in their time of need. Swing shifts run from 2pm–4pm to 10:30pm–Midnight, including weekends.

Starting pay is $27.50 per hour, with shift differentials and monthly bonuses, plus paid training to build a secure career. You’ll operate tow trucks, provide roadside assistance, and communicate clearly with members.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Operating tow trucks safely and efficiently.
• Performing simple vehicle diagnostics to figure out the issue.
• Providing essential roadside assistance, including tire changes, fuel delivery, and vehicle lock-outs.
• Building trust, problem-solving, and being a calming presence for our members on the scene.
• Clear and proficient verbal and written communication even under pressure
• Common knowledge of vehicle components and the common reasons for vehicle failure
• Demonstrates problem solving and listening skills to evaluate member safety as well as the ability to discern safety issues and respond appropriately
• Ability to drive a manual/automatic shift vehicle

Work Environment/Physical Requirements

• Works outdoors at vehicle sites when servicing vehicles. Lifting and carrying tires and parts, weighing up to 50 pounds, several times a day; bending, kneeling and stooping as required for service calls. Works in all weather and all traffic conditions. Vehicle recovery sites may be wet, messy and hazardous. Service Providers are required to provide a photograph for identification purposes.
