Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. seeks a MRB / Liaison Engineer to join the Engineering department based in Wichita, KS or Kinston, NC. You will drive structural analysis across metallic and composite airframes, acting as a technical authority and liaison with Design, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.

Responsibilities include performing complex stress calculations, ensuring compliance with FAR/JAR and MRB processes, and mentoring junior engineers while advancing manufacturing solutions and design integrity.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering with emphasis on structural design and analysis.
• 13+ years of experience in stress analysis with airframe structures.
• Experience in airframe design (metallic & composites), F&DT, SRM, MRB, FAR/JAR/CS/Part 25, Certification.
• Proficient with CATIA, NASTRAN, PATRAN and technical documentation.
• Strong computer skills (MS Office, Google Suite).
• Authorized to Work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Perform autonomously complex stress calculations for metallic, composite and hybrid structures.
• Ensure Airbus methods and procedures are followed.
• Liaise with Design, Manufacturing, Quality and other departments to identify optimal solutions.
• Develop and maintain familiarity to respond quickly to build needs.
• Develop and maintain Technical Signature Delegation for concessions.
• Check and pre-approve stress justifications for nonconformities or modifications.
• Mentor other engineers in metallic or non-metallic repairs.
• Manage workflow to meet customer time scales.
• Lead projects to achieve customer requirements.
• Apply broad technical expertise across related disciplines.
