Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. in Mobile, AL seeks an Airframe Design Liaison Engineer to lead non-conformity resolution for primary and secondary structures on the A320 Family. You will authorize repairs, manage design data, and coordinate with global Design Offices to keep production moving while preserving airworthiness.

The role requires a BS in Aerospace/Mechanical-related field, 6+ years in aircraft structures, and deep knowledge of SRM/AMM/IPC. Willingness to travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• BS in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical or Systems Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years in aircraft structure design and repair.
• In-depth knowledge of primary/secondary airframe structures and repair principles.
• Familiarity with Airbus design principles, manuals, and change management.

Responsibilities

• Authorize, validate, and approve technical solutions and repair drawings for primary/secondary structures.
• Ensure airworthiness and alignment with Airbus Design Principles across released files.
• Coordinate with global Design Offices and shop floor teams on deviations and repairs.
• Provide on-site engineering support through production and delivery phases.
• Lead technical reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of structural data and processes.
