Job summary

Airbus Americas invites applications for the Summer Intern - A320 Family Liaison Engineering based in Mobile, Alabama. You will support final assembly line activities, assist with non-conformity resolutions, and help update design data under supervision.

This internship offers a dedicated mentor, real-world exposure to airframe structures, and collaboration with manufacturing, quality, and design teams on shop-floor issues.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in full-time 4-year undergrad or graduate degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical or Systems Engineering.
• Sophomore level or pursuing a Master's degree.
• Authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
• Familiarity with 3D CAD software CATIA and engineering drawings.
• Strong proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office Suites.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support on shop-floor non-conformities and technical queries.
• Assist in updating design datasets, DQNs, and basic design documentation.
• Participate in engineering improvement projects like automation or data analytics.
• Attend shop-floor briefings and support cross-functional liaison between Manufacturing, Quality, and Design teams.
• Help generate weekly status reports and prepare technical presentation materials.
