Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. in Mobile, AL is seeking an Operations Leader for the 2nd shift to join our completion team. You will manage and develop a production group to meet time, quality, cost, and safety targets on the A320/A220 lines.

You will drive continuous improvement, ensure clear communication across interfaces, and lead the Autonomous Production team, aligning with our global manufacturing standards and safety commitments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in aviation manufacturing/assembly.
• 3–5 years of leadership experience in aviation.
• Experience with Quality / Logistics rules in aviation manufacturing.
• Experience as a member and leader of an international team.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and guidance to production activities and supervise progress at the Station.
• Lead the Autonomous Production team (APT) and coordinate with QA, Procurement and other interfaces.
• Routinely report to upper management on progress and alert colleagues to issues and solutions.
• Coordinate and communicate Station activities across FALs and management teams to ensure progress.
• Develop workforce forecast requirements based on workload and vital skills for delivery schedules.
• Identify and resolve problems quickly to maintain smooth production flow.
• Lead continuous improvement activities and ensure compliance with safety standards.
