Job summary

Colorado Convention Center is seeking a Technical Services Technician to operate and maintain audio/visual and rigging systems for events. The role involves installing and dismantling equipment, coordinating on-call stagehands, and ensuring safety and reliability of production gear.

Candidates should have extensive experience with audio, lighting, video and rigging, plus strong communication and problem-solving skills. Union contract guidelines apply to duties and scheduling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in industry or related field.
• Experience with audio, lighting, video and rigging systems.
• Knowledge of sound reinforcement and stage lighting methods.
• Experience with digital/analog audio mixers.

Responsibilities

• Review event documents to determine equipment and service requirements.
• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot facility audio, lighting, video and production equipment.
• Install and dismantle facility dance floor and stages over 48 inches height.
• Coordinate and supervise on-call stagehands.
• Maintain inventory and provide event-related labor/equipment documentation.
