Job summary

Arkansas State University in Jonesboro seeks a full-time Audio-Visual Support Technician to install, diagnose, service, and operate AV equipment and deliver outstanding customer service. The role requires independent work or teamwork to complete tasks in classrooms and event spaces.

You will handle daily operations, liaise with vendors, manage inventory, troubleshoot issues, and support budgeting and purchasing with the ITS division manager. Standard hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• The formal education equivalent of an earned Associate's Degree in computer science, computer applications, mathematics, or a related field.
• Two (2) years of experience in audio visual support.
• Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements, except for certification or licensure requirements, upon approval of the qualifications review committee.

Responsibilities

• Focuses on daily operations, service calls, and project completion for the A/V & Classroom Technologies Services division.
• Works as a liaison between 3rd party vendors and the customer for the division.
• Assists in inventory control and order processing for the division.
• Assesses daily work and effectively prioritizes time efficiently.
• Assists with customer service improvement measures.
• Completes work orders/service tickets for the division.
• Works with the Business Technology Services division manager on billing and purchasing needs.
• Evaluates the division's performance and identifies areas of improvement.
• Assists in technical troubleshooting and problem remediation.
• Assesses user needs and determines the best strategies to meet those needs.
