Job summary

Moog in Buffalo, NY is seeking an A&T Technician III for the 2nd shift (3:00pm to 11:30pm) onsite in East Aurora, NY to join the Industrial Group. You will perform precision assembly on complex systems, run tests with hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical equipment, and document results while following drawings and instructions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; ability to understand and apply instructions in English.
• At least 3 years related experience in a related technical field.
• Experience diagnosing/troubleshooting mechanical components and test failures.
• Set up and perform operational tests of finished products on high precision test stands using hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic test equipment.
• Basic computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Use and maintain the ERP system to record product builds, SNs, and material use.
• This role requires strict adherence to EHS and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision assembly on complex systems that support an array of applications.
• Assemble products utilizing torque wrenches, fixtures, tooling, gauges and other devices; follow assembly instructions.
• Perform various test operations using hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical to validate product acceptance.
• Work from drawings, work instructions, parts lists or other instruction and provide detailed written communication defining performance results and/or situational circumstances.
• Communicate common test failures and support reworking products as necessary.
• Ensure that units are set up and tested in conformance with current revision letters and report any abnormal conditions to supervisor.
• Utilize mechanical or electronic measuring equipment and perform tests to validate conformance to test requirements.
• Understand the production goals of the department and communicate deviations as appropriate.
