Job summary

Rio Staffing LLC in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a skilled A&P Aircraft Mechanic to join our maintenance team for General Aviation piston aircraft. This onsite role focuses on routine servicing, inspections, and annuals, in alignment with FAA regulations to ensure safe, reliable flight training operations.

The ideal candidate brings an FAA A&P license, 3+ years of GA maintenance experience, and hands-on work with single-engine piston aircraft.

Qualifications

• Active FAA A&P license required at hire.
• Minimum of 3 years of post-graduation General Aviation maintenance experience.
• Direct hands-on maintenance experience with single-engine GA piston aircraft.
• Must possess a basic set of hand tools for GA servicing and maintenance.
• Proficient with MS Office; comfortable using Talon RMS.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing, 100-hour inspections, and annuals on flight school aircraft per FAA regs (14 CFR Parts 43 & 91).
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair piston airframes and engines.
• Maintain accurate aircraft logbooks and digital records (Talon RMS).
• Read and interpret maintenance manuals, parts catalogs, and service bulletins.
• Maintain safe, clean work areas in compliance with safety guidelines.
