Job summary
ATP Flight School in Long Beach, CA is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic to join our team. The role focuses on inspections, repairs and preventive maintenance on piston aircraft while upholding safety and quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have an A&P certificate, 2+ years of piston-powered maintenance experience, and FAA authorizations, with Garmin avionics troubleshooting experience highly valued. This position is on-site at our California base.
Qualifications
- A&P certificate is required.
- 2+ years piston-powered aircraft maintenance experience.
- Knowledge of FARs and manufacturer manuals.
- Possess adequate tools.
- FAA Inspection Authorization.
- Private pilot's license.
- Avionics troubleshooting experience (Garmin integrated avionics).
Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting, aircraft maintenance, and repair per regulations and manuals.
- Document and log maintenance records accurately.
- Follow all policies and procedures.
- Keep a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Perform duties in a safe manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
