Float Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT)

IMMEDIATELY HIRING! A&P Float Mechanic - Rotor Wing, FULL-TIME Opportunity in AZ and NM

  • Starting Salary: $62,705 - $91,455 annually
  • 8% Geo-Modifier
  • Float Stipend: $10,400
  • Sign-On Bonus: $10,000

We're hiring an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) responsible for the overall maintenance and safety of our fleet within Med-Trans. This technician will support our AS350, EC130, and Bell 407 airframes. This role is key to ensuring our team can safely maintain and deliver timely, high-quality transportation services, care, and customer service to patients.

Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs, and provide regular updates to the Lead Technician.
  • Manage inventory checks, ensure stock of supplies and equipment, update the equipment tracking log, and document part expenditures.
  • Document service paperwork and FAA information as required, adhering to policies and procedures while complying with information security standards.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew.
  • Use appropriate communication methods to coordinate efforts between departments, vendors, and team members.
  • Collaborate professionally with all health and safety personnel, fellow AMTs, and the operations team.
Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Three (3) years of turbine helicopter maintenance experience, including at least six months within the last 24 months.
  • Valid Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience with EC130, AS350, and Bell 407 maintenance.
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Experience with EMS systems, aircraft maintenance systems, records, and planning.
  • Ability to travel between bases to support maintenance needs.
  • Physical ability to push and/or pull 100+ lbs. and lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • FAA Inspection Authorization Certification.
  • Experience under CFR Part 135.
  • Autopilot maintenance experience.
  • Avionics and electrical repair experience.
  • Maintenance experience with Bell 407 and EC130.
